Tracy Schmitt – future Canadian Paralympian hopeful

I first met Tracy at a sailing regatta in Hamilton, Ontario. She beat me pretty soundly in that event and I’ve been chasing her ever since. She was easy to spot as she was walking around on prosthetic known as shorties. The next time I saw her she was “normal” height. Tracy is a 4 way amputee. She is one of the most pleasant people you will ever meet and a great sailboat racer. Tracy is now on a quest to become a paralympian sailor with her sights on qualifying for the next Olympics in Rio, Brazil in 2016. Attached is her website take a look at the incredible lady. I can’t wait to be racing with Tracy again.
